Guest reviews

  • Group of friends

The staff were courteous and very helpful.

As in any other place in Banff during summer, there were so many mosquitos around. A screen door would be great so the inside doors can be opened to let the fresh air in during summer.

  • Older travelers

Roomy, clean. Second door opens out to peaceful courtyard

    Parking tight

  • Older travelers

It's relatively inexpensive and is next door to the best restaurant in Banff, Bumpers Beef House.

We have stayed at Bumpers many times in the past (usually for ski holidays) and this is the first time we have found the room to be a little dusty, whether it was the carpet or the bed spreads, I'm not sure but my wife and I plugged up after a night in the room. We are very sensitive to dust.

  • Older travelers

location was great, just a little outside of the main hub of business. The staff were very friendly and ready & willing to help us. Always a friendly smile or wave in the am & pm. I will definately return to this inn & recommend it to my friends.

The only thing I did not like about Bumpers inn was the plastic & syrofoam cups that was for our coffee and other liquids. Next time I will bring my own glasses & cups.

  • Family with children

Quiet and off the main drag. Lovely TV and the refridgerator and microwave were good.

The beds were too hard and the temperature in the room was horrid; too hot. The comforter was not clean; felt sticky. The thermastat did not function. I am not a fan of plastic glasses by the ice bucket but the I detest styrofoam. Why would you not have mugs for the coffee? Additionally, there was no sugar substitute provided.

  • Single

Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, and reasonable price, convenient to get to, parking available and Restaurant next door was excellent.

  • Single

We enjoyed the location which was quiet for sleeping and that there was a very good restaurant ver close, Bumpers Beef.

  • Group of friends

There is no air-conditioning. It got too warm to be comfortable during my stay in July 2011. The color of the carpet in the room is dark blue and I could not tell if it was as clean as I wished.

  • Couple

Staff were helpful. Lots of parking. Amenities austere but functional.

Room suffers a little from lack of air circulation. Probably ok if in winter

  • Group of friends

Good price, good location but definitely not a luxury motel.

The rooms need upgrading. We have been staying there for the a weekend in May for 9 years in a row. The rooms have not been painted, the decor is the same, and the cleanliness is not up to standard. Time for some money spent on this motel.

  • Older travelers

We had a room with a view of the mountains. The room had a fridge and microwave which was useful to prepare and store food. It was a very large room with a good size bathroom.

    Poor external appearance. Needs updating.

  • Group of friends

Price was good, and the TV was nicer than expected (40" flat screen)

Location - but this of course is not the fault of the hotel.

  • Older travelers

We appreciated the friendliness of the office staff ( the only staff we actually dealt with). We appreciated the complimentary coffee, the sterling cleanliness of the room and the layout of the room. We don't look for a luxury experience when we are away. But we really appreciate getting good, clean, comfortable, affordable service.

We found the bed a bit hard for arthritic bones and sore muscles. I realize that someone else might prefer a hard bed. It might be better to lean a little more toward the middle ground between firm and soft. The tap in the bathroom was a little bit hard to turn on without getting more than you bargained for, but this was a minor problem.

  • Single

The location was desirable, a distance from the hub of activity in the center, but still quite convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Inviting room. Pleasant inner court yard. Reasonable price.

  • Older travelers

    Clean, karger rooms, friendly staff.
